Christmas in PJ's

We spent a lazy Christmas Day at home. The night before we finished our sugar cookies and set out letters and cookies after church.
It was a morning full of excitement and fun!
Reading our letter from Santa
Then a bit later in the day we opened more gifts.
Everyone was excited!
And we basically spent the entire day in PJ's.
We had a wonderful Christmas Day together. Complete with a chocolate chip pancake brunch and family walk before sunset. We couldn't ask for a better day with our boys.

Christmas Traditions

We had a great weekend celebrating Christmas in Hilldreth and after a work day completed for me at school, we are now checking off some Christmas traditions at our house.
This afternoon we made our sugar cookie dough from my Great Grandma Rose Ammeter's recipe.
And this year both boys helped out!
Tomorrow we will roll out the dough and cut out our cookies to bake.
And tonight we've got lots of snacks and Collin decorated our coffee table to watch The Polar Express. Fancy!

8 Legs and 2 Tails

After we lost Leo, the whole family was missing a furry friend as part of our family. However, we had told the boys we needed to wait until after our trip to Disneyworld before we would look to rescue another kitten.

So as we were leaving for the airport at the resort very early in the morning....Collin declared it was the end of our vacation and time to get a new kitty.
Not only did Chad agree, but somehow I was talked into adopting two!
Ellie and Wrigley have settled right into our family.

CAUMC Christmas Program 2014

To wrap up another busy holiday weekend, the boys had their Christmas Program at our church last night.  It was such a great show!

Collin was a shepherd this year and was very excited to have lines for the first time in one of these programs.  He did such a great job and had them all memorized.
Mitchell was one of the Wise men and also did a fabulous job with his speaking part.  He was super pumped because he got to "wear the microphone" for the first time this year. :)
This is my favorite picture of the evening.  We are so fortunate to have our church family.  The hours that were put into this production can be seen in the children's faces.

So much fun, involvement and spirit!

Blue Earth Plaza

We spent our Saturday evening at the Blue Earth Plaza with Grandma and Grandpa Bunger.
It was a warm evening too so we could actually walk around and enjoy all the decorations.
But even though it was in the 50's, we still stopped for hot chocolate!
We are enjoying the season and fun times with Grandma and Grandpa Bunger in Manhattan this weekend.

Photo Pass

I could just keep posting and posting about our recent trip to Disneyworld.....it was just that great. :)
Once we were back, we were able to access all our park pictures through Photo Pass, just another great highlight of staying on the property and using magic bands.  These pictures were just too fun/hilarious not to share!
This picture of us all on the Seven Dwarfs Mine roller coaster is one of my favorites.  The boys look of shear joy is just awesome.
And while we were all impressed with Collin's bravery and willingness to try rides he would have been to afraid to go on otherwise...you can tell he wasn't a fan of the ride above or below.

But I promise he really did have a GREAT time and is still talking about this trip daily...like we all are. :)
