Last Pictures of Paradise

It's taken awhile to share them all, but here are some of the last few pictures I haven't shared from our time in paradise

June 12th was my parents actual anniversary date and it was so special that we could all be together (in Mexico no less) to celebrate with them! We started the evening by having a champagne toast in their room and then had a few pictures taken with all of the grand kids.

We had a wonderful evening together celebrating their 50th Anniversary!

Double decker bus ride to our evening meal location....the resort was huge!

My crew sure does clean up nice. :) The third night in a row that I wore a dress...inconceivable!!!!

And of course our next few days were full or more fun in the many pools....

Seeing lots of iguanas everywhere we went.....

And continued views like this one above. I think the beach is my happy place. I love it.

Chad, my dad and Doug all went deep sea fishing one more as well. Unfortunately, this little boat was in 8 to 10 foot swells the whole day and Doug was the only one to catch anything. The poor fishing, rough seas and constant smell of dieseul fuel only helped Chad to catch a large case of sea sickness, but like always with him...he came back, rested a bit and was back by the pool in no time. He is a gamer!

And when we were too sunburn to be at the pool/ocean....there was plenty to see/explore/do at our amazing and massive resort!

All because two high school sweethearts fell in love.....

#cb4life

Three years ago today, Chad survived an episode of sudden cardiac death while out on a group run early in the morning. We now celebrate this date each year with the hashtag #cb4life and proclaim this date Chad's Life-a-versary. What happened three years ago can be described as nothing short of a true miracle. I won't re-hash all the events of three years ago, but you can always look back at my blog here for more details on the events of that day.

To say we are blessed to still have Chad with us just doesn't seem adequate. But I can tell you that we continue to be thankful every day for every individual put in place at the precisely the right moment to give Chad the chance to fight for his life. God is good and we are immensely grateful.

15 Years

Happy 15th Anniversary to a pretty terrific man I am blessed to call my husband.

I was a lucky girl in 2001.....

And I'm even more blessed today to have him as my partner and an amazing father to our boys.

Even though we are home from Mexico...Life's like a beach every day with you by my side. Love you, Chad!

Tulum and More Fun in the Sun

A group of us went on a day tour of the Mayan ruins st Tulum.

These are located right on the coast with breath taking views!

But I'm not gonna lie. It was hot. So. Very. Hot.

Lots of amazing photo ops...did I mention it was superhero crazy on steroids hot?

The beach was incredibly beautiful. We chose not to swim there this day due to the strong current and many, many heat weary tourists all trying to cool off.
