Holiday Festivities

The days before Christmas are very busy for us this year...but also filled with lots of great holiday fun!  Who doesn't love a good "Awesomely Awful Christmas Sweater Party?!?!?
And I had to include some more photos that were posted of our church Christmas Program last Sunday.  I love this one of Mitchell!!
Collin's personality may be more suited for a lion at times....but he made a pretty cute little lamb!
While I haven't given up on running entirely this holiday season....I haven't been able to get back into a consistent groove either.  January will bring the start of a new year and will also mark another "week 1" in my training plan towards my 7th Half Marathon!!!

Christmas Program 2012

This afternoon we had our the children's Christmas Program at our church and the boys did a fantastic job!

Here is a video clip of one of their favorite songs
Thanks to our wonderful church family at CAUMC for allowing the Bunger's boys to be a part of this great program!!

Bobby's antics

Bobby seems to be a little on the mischievous side this year....
He found some old chocolate from Halloween and helped himself.
And then one morning he switched out the boy's pictures with his own self portraits!
He's had a few things to say when each of the boys have had a not-so-great day.....
How does he always know????

Enter the Lodge

We just returned from a mini vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City and we had a great time!
If the excitement of our first trip to this hotel and indoor waterpark wasn't enough.  All the Christmas decorations and visit from Rudolph sent it over the top for the boys.

Mitchell would tell you his favorite part of the water park was the giant bucket that dumped over every 5 minutes.
After supper and driving around the plaza to see all the Christmas lights, we went back to the hotel for story time where it even snowed!!
I will take this kind of snow any day!!! :)

Bunger Family Pictures

While we were back in Nebraska last weekend, we took some family pictures with the Bunger's.
The idea for our apparel was Grandma Bunger's and they turned out great!
Little Wyatt's shirt/with tie was so cute....even though it did say Huskers on it. ;)

While we had a great trip to Nebraska, we also managed to bring the stomach flu back with us again. That's now two trips in a row to the Cornhusker state that has resulted in at least half our family laid out with the flu.  Here's hoping our trip back for Christmas will be illness free!!

Thanksgiving 2012

It was a Thanksgiving holiday filled with lots of time on the road, but we had a great trip with our family and friends in Nebraska.

We took some great family photos with the Bunger's that I will post later, but we also tried to take a few shots for our Christmas cards this year and almost had everyone looking and smiling at the same time.....almost.
The boys had fun riding the four wheeler with Uncle Aaron on thanksgiving and he even took them out to his "tree house" as Mitchell called it.  I think Uncle Aaron would prefer they refer to it as his deer blind. ;)
Then on Saturday we were in Grand Island for a wedding and we got to catch with up many of our friends!  We wish we could see them more often, but it was so good to have this time to see them again.

We are home and a little road weary from all the travel (as well as minus one treasured stuffed pet, whaley that Mitchell left at Grandma and Grandpa's).  But we are thankful for the time we had with so many over this long weekend....and Mitchell is thankful for the postal system that will have him reunited with his long time killer whale stuffed pet.

5 stay home days

Collin calls weekends or holidays "stay home days."  So when we told him about the holiday weekend and how long it was he has excitedly exclaimed several times today "5 STAY HOME DAYS!!!"
Our Thanksgiving will involve a lot of time spent on the road, but today we've been able to spend a lot time outside on this very warm Wednesday while Daddy is still at work.
Collin has recently realized how fun the big wheel can be....and Mitchell has learned that he has outgrown this mode of transportation....literally.

Hope everyone has a fantastic 5- stay- home -day- holiday!
