GINW Class of 96..The Reunion Special

A few weeks back, we spent the weekend back in GI for my 20 year class reunion..

It was a great weekend to catch up with some fun people!

So many laughs, fun, memories...and a selfie stick.

Minnesota Trip

We made an extended weekend trip to see Uncle Doug and Aunt Amy in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Cousin time is always the best time! The first afternoon we took a riverboat tour on the Mississippi River.

It rained too much to threw the locks but it was still a great trip!

Afterwards we went to the Minnesota Institute of Arts.

And of course had some silly cousin time as well!

Sunday Mitchell and Chad made a short trip to Wisconsin for Mitchell's first experience fly fishing for trout...he loved it!

And landed his first trout!

Then celebrated at a local dive with great bar food.

Amy and I took the boys downtown to the opening events of the new US Bank Stafium in downtown Minneapolis..very cool!!

Such a great weekend together with family!

Thanks for a great weekend to the Drake's!!

Back home with one last week of summer before I head back to work.

The Little Mermaid Jr

This past weekend both boys were involved any Manhattan parks and recreation departments summer theater production of the little mermaid Junior.

This was put on by K-6 grade students from Manhattan and was such an awesome production!

Mitchell was Sebestian the Crab and Collin was a sailor/chef.

We were so proud of them!

Mitchell's two solos were amazing.  My heart was so full of pride each night...

He was quite the character actor too!

Watching your child love something you also have always loved was a new level of joy for this proud momma, for sure!

We look forward to watching both of our boys and many more theatrical appearances to come in the future! 💕

Pillow Forts and Swim Trials

Where is every pillow in the house?

Being used as a pillow fort on Collin's bed, of course.

It's more about function than being roomy or comfortable...

But there is always room for Ellie!

And in the morning the pillow fort takes on a new level of protection...prohibiting easy enterance, especially if he has to be woken up before he wants to be...

Mitchell recently traveled with some of the Manhattan Marlins Swim Team to Omaha to take in the Olympic Swim Trials!

He had an amazing time!!!

What a great experience for him and his swim friends!
