This past weekend we took a mini-vacation to Omaha to visit our good family friends the Croghan's. We aren't taking any big vacations this summer, but since neither Chad or I had been to the zoo in Omaha for 10 years, we knew it would be fun to visit again and take our boys there for their first visit.
Mitchell and I playing on the old trains! He was so excited and wanted to be sure we saw EVERYTHING!! The kids did great and we spent over 6 hours at the zoo that day....so Mitchell got his wish. :)
Bunger family photo op early in the day at the Henry Doorly Zoo.....We got to the zoo early since it was also the opening day of the College World Series...to our surprise, the zoo wasn't busy at all during the morning hours and we were able to run, play and see lots of sights.

This shot of Collin, Mitchell and Noah walking through the zoo hand in hand was just too precious not to add. Even though Mitchell had never been to the zoo before, he was sure he knew the way to all the exhibits! And his little brother Collin was just so excited to see all the animals...I think his favorite was the rhinos and the elephants. We had to go back and see them 3 times....it took us awhile to find the rest of the group before he was finally ready to move on. :)
Mitchell's favorite part of the day...the Sky Safari!!! This was a very cool addition to the zoo and we all rode...even Collin! It was a great weekend trip and both boys are still talking about everything we saw during our trip to the zoo.
