Trust Your Training

Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph celebrates during the closing seconds of Game 6 against the San Antonio Spurs in a first-round NBA basketball series on Friday.

For the first (and maybe only time ever) I actually cared about an outcome of an NBA Basketball game last night!  The Colcord Hotel called Chad yesterday and explained that they are the host team for all away NBA play off games and if San Antonio lost on Friday....they would be coming to Oklahoma City for the weekend.  I guess pro basketball players trump marathon runners who have had reservations for over 4 months???

It all played out last night and now it looks like instead of staying downtown blocks away from the start/finish line....we have now been bumped 5 miles away by the airport.  The only bright side to this is that the Colcord will now be paying for our stay and shuttle services to/from downtown OKC.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is good and bad.  The good news is that it looks like the rain will hold off until the afternoon!!  The not so great news is that yet again...we have a race day forecast of 20-30 mph winds.  But I have to keep in mind what we were able to accomplish 2 weeks ago in less than ideal conditions and trust my training.
